It's 7:58 on a Sunday night and what is the one thing I'm thinking? Snow day. I've checked the weather 3 times already and even though the chances of the roads getting bad enough to close school tomorrow is not probable, I still have hope. So anyways, I got thinking about snow days and why exactly I love them so much. I think the best part of the whole ordeal is the moment when you wake up and see your school's name on the T.V. with "closed" next to it. Then you can go back to bed and when you wake up again, you can do whatever you want for the day. It's like, surprise, FREE DAY! Usually when I have a snow day I pretend like that it is impossible for me to leave the house. Even in the afternoon when the roads have cleared, I like to pretend that I am literally "snowed in". So for those of you who do have a snow day tomorrow (or any day in the future) I'm going to give you a few suggestions on how to spend it:
1. Play in the snow (obviously) then drink hot chocolate.
2. Watch netflix.
3. Read a book. (By the way, I'm currently reading Catcher in the Rye, any suggestions for when I'm done?)
4. Bake a cake.
5. Take a bubble bath.
6. Build a fort.
7. Move all the furniture in your room.
8. Have a spa day.
So as I sit here refreshing the weather website and looking intently at the radar, I'm thinking about how glad I am that I get to experience the beauty of snow days. It's really a magical thing. So I am off to take some NyQuil ( I'm sick :( ) and go to bed and when I wake up let's hope I get to experience the beauty of a snow day.
xoxo,
Z,
